The most common cause of hair loss in men and women is hormonal change related to a hormone called DHT (Di Hydro Testosterone) and is called androgenic alopecia.
Other common causes of hair-loss are stress (high cortisol), recent illness (such as Covid 19) , and immune related loss.
Most studies show that there is no one treatment that can stop hair loss and maintain long term results. Even transplants are temporary and don’t slow the progression of loss around the transplants.
Oral medications require daily use and can have side effects.

Hair-Loss Treatments & Restoration Offered at La Quinta Medspa
With all treatments listed below, changes begin after a few weeks, with best results seen at 3-6 months.
TED – Trans epidermal delivery-
3 treatments done monthly, then annually or as needed. Can slow loss and thicken hair up to 40%. No pain, no down time.
Acoustic and ultrasound waves create micro channels in scalp allowing a proprietary pharmaceutical product with peptides and copper to penetrate down to the level of the hair follicle. Like microneedling without pain bleeding and guaranteed delivery of the pharmaceutical into the dermis of the skin.
Laser Cap– FDA approved.
Research going back decades. Decreases follicle inflammation, increases blood flow, stimulates intracellular growth enzymes. Laser cap provides the highest quality laser diodes. It is a little more expensive but they guarantee* their product and cheaper brands use lower quality laser diodes and provide inconsistent results.
Wear it at home 3 times per week for 30 minutes. Use indefinitely.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)– Proven treatment since 2015. Multiple studies showing effectiveness.
We take a test tube of blood like they do for a lab test. We then spin the blood to get a concentrated sample of platelets. Key to this is using the best equipment to get the most platelets. We use Emcyte equipment, which is the best in the industry. Then using a very small needle we inject the platelets into the scalp. There they stimulate the follicles to begin working again. PRP is done as a series of 3 treatments monthly, then once per year or as needed.
Hair-Loss Treatment Protocols Defined
With all treatments listed below, changes begin after a few weeks, with best results seen at 3-6 months.
Level One
Early loss, thinning or falling out.
Almost all treatments can improve thickness and slow the progressive loss.
All options at this level should stop or slow the hair loss and thicken and anchor follicles.
Combining treatments can work even better.
Level Two
Mild to Moderate loss.
The goal at this level is to stop continued loss and repair damaged follicles. This will result in thickening, but may not completely repair areas with more advanced hair loss. Combination therapy is needed at this point to slow down and reverse the loss.
These include:
1. TED series of 3 treatments plus Laser Cap at home or La Quinta Medspa Home topical treatment.
2. PRP series of 3 treatments plus laser Cap at home or La Quinta Medspa Home Topical Treatment.
3. Laser CAP plus La Quinta Medspa Home Topical Treatment.
Level Three
Moderate to more advanced loss.
At this point there are areas of skin with miniaturized or absent follicles. At your consultation we can look closely at the scalp with a special camera called a Dermascope, to see if there are enough follicles left to treat. The goal is to get some hair growth back and improve coverage, while slowing progression.
Combination therapy:
1. Alternating 3 sessions each of TED and PRP done every 2- weeks over 2 months.
2. Plus, Laser Cap and La Quinta Medspa Home topical treatment.
Level Four
Consider transplants or extensions, then refer to level one treatment plan to maintain your transplants and slow progression of further loss
